报告摘要: In this introductory talk, transmission eigenvalues are described for various differential equations such as those arising in wave propagation and also arising in quantum mechanics. The corresponding direct problem consists of the determination of transmission eigenvalues when the nonhomogeneity is known in the relevant differential equation. The goal in the inverse problem is to determine the nonhomogeneity from an appropriate set containing the transmission eigenvalues.
